Design a Victorian room/ Making my flash game based on drag and drop/ Health and Safety Unit 5
Games on Geoffyre Museum Website
The aim of this game was to design your own Victorian room by following the instruction on the right hand side, it gives you options on what designs you want to use for your room. This will be suitable for young children age around 7-10 because it gives clear instructions on what to do and its not too complicated. It has a simple layout to it and kids will find it easy to use, but some kids might find it boring because the start of the game it shows some dull colours which kids would not find attractive.

Making My Flash Game based on the drag and drop.
This is the screen shots from my game. It shows the initial page with the cat muddled up. The second picture shows the cat in a finished position.
Health and Safety Issues while working.
It is important while working in the computer room to follow health and safety rules. Some of these are:
Potential Hazards:
- Do not drink in the computer room.
- Do not run around the classroom.
- Do not eat in the classroom.
- make sure no wires are hanging out of your computers or pockets.
- make sure all bags and coats are under the desk.
Solutions to the hazards:
- Ask the teacher if you can go outside the classroom for a drink.
- Make sure you are walking at all times because there might be chairs hanging out.
- Wait till the teacher dismisses you for your lunch break.
- At the beginning of the lesson make sure all wires such as headphones are in the your pockets or bags
- At the beginning of the lesson make sure all bags and coats are under the desk or out of harms way.

The matching game/ Game Review Unit 5
In this lesson we had to design a name for our game. First we had to go to photoshop and set the page layout to 788 pixels by 576 pixels. After that was done we had to click on the type tool for it to allow us to type anything. After that was done and we had a name for our game we had to highlight the whole title and change the font of it which is shown above. After that was done we had to make our game title look a bit creative, so we used the wrap tool to make the title to many different things such as bending it, making it look like a flag and many other things. I chose the Arc Upper for my title which makes the tittle bend upwards. This is shown above in the picture.
For the game I want to match up shapes with their outlines. This might be a car for example and then the shape of the car drawn with a line to place the car into. This would be for very young children so that they can learn shapes.
What went well:
- Good drawing of my cat
- Used flash well and was able to add code snippets
- Used photoshop well. I was able to use the drawing tools and layers well
What could be improve:
- Meeting up to deadlines
- Timing my work better
Feedback from other people
After gave me some feedback when he played the game on the tutor blog. He said the drawing was good, that the pieces all matched together. But he said the background was boring as it is only white.
My tutor also said I had done a good drawing of a cat and that I should be top of the class because I can learn quickly and do my work well. He said that the game works well, the drawing is suitable for the intended audience (young children).
Leema in my class said it is good and fine for children and the game works well. She said the background could have been made more interesting.
I am happy with the feedback and agree with what people have told me. I am hoping children will play the game on the tutor site.
